40th anniversary of Cowbit Village Hall Committee

2nd March 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the Cowbit Village Hall Committee. The management documentation, deeds of appointment and trust deed were set up today 40 years ago by the residents of Cowbit with the aim of building and then running a Village Hall.
The land was donated in a will in 1965, but the hall was not built and opened until 1988

The Chairman of SHDC hosted a Charity Quiz at Cowbit Village Hall on Friday 16th February 2024. The event was well attended with every table taken with keen competitive quizzers all hoping to win.

Marcus Pell was Quiz Master for the evening and provided 8 rounds of challenging questions including an excellent picture and music round.

The triumphant team was Piston Brake, followed by SHDC Environmental Health Team

Darren Harper and Chris Aldridge organised a pop up bar for the evening, serving drinks and snacks kindly provided by Colin Foxwell from Cowbit Village Store.

The event raise £585.00 for the Chairman’s Charities, Blood cancer UK and Mencap.

The Chairman would like to thank everyone for attending and supporting this event, with special thanks to Darren and Marcus for giving up their time to organise a wonderful evening.
